Interim Vicar

St Patrick’s is in a diverse and multicultural Parish in the urban London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, with excellent transport links to London and easy access to the M25.

We seek a minister who will:

• Be a person of prayer

• Possess a heart for deep pastoral care

• Make a commitment to engage with our culturally diverse church and community

• Be prepared to work collaboratively with the LLM and lay team

• Have an acceptance of the ministry of women in all roles

• Strive to be a good communicator of faith that will challenge and inspire at all levels

• Be open to humorous exchanges of faith and fellowship

• Shape a vision and action plan for ministry and mission across the parish

• Be a creative missional priest who can bring growth to an estate ministry context

• Bring experience of developing lay leadership and developing imaginative models for mission and ministry

We are seeking to appoint an Interim Vicar for three years funded in part by the Strategic Mission and Ministry Investment Board. The post will be time limited under the provisions of Regulation 29 of the Clergy (Terms of Service) Regulations 2009.
